Let’s Make a Play for Kids and Adults: Students will learn how to develop their own 10-minute play through an 6-8 week immersive playwriting program. Starting from idea to a full play, the class includes a discussion about the structural components of developing plays as well as character development, establishing tone, setting, and creating structure.
The class also includes reading of plays in class, some acting, improv, art, readings, costume design, and group sharing. The last class culminates with a staged reading of the students’ 10-minute play.
For all creatives; no experience is necessary. Each class includes a Let’s Make a Play workbook. All classes can be modified.
How to Write a Monologue to Tell Your Personal Story: Monologue writing is an incredible tool to tell your own personal story. In this six-week class participants will learn how to develop character, establish setting, set tone, develop backstory, and create the world of their monologues. The class includes readings, prompts, shared text, group work, and a staged reading during the last class.
This adult workshop is for writers of all abilities–no experience is necessary. A workbook will be provided.

Join Serena Norr of Let’s Make a Play for an interactive, immersive, and fun session of playwriting! Kids will learn how to write their very own 10-minute play. The class also includes some art, improv, acting, play reading, brainstorming, idea building, establishing setting and tone, structure, creating character profiles, and of course writing! The last class ends with a staged reading of the kids’ work. No experience is necessary. Each class includes a Let’s Make a Play workbook.

Join Serena Norr of Let’s Make a Play for an interactive, immersive, and fun playwriting class! Kids (ages 9-13) will learn all of the components of how to make their own play. Kids will also enjoy brainstorming, idea building, establishing setting and tone, structure, creating character profiles, and writing! Kids will leave with the start of their 10-minute play. The class is for all levels; no experience is necessary.
